Plane Rentals
All of the planes discussed on the Hanger Page
are ready for rental by members and non-members. Generally speaking, rates
are better for members, but only if you fly often. Here's the break down:

Intro Flights
For only $25 you can find youself behind the yoke of a Cessna 152, pulling yourself
a little higher in the air over Municipal Airport. A fully qualified instructor will be responsible
for your safety and your enjoyment. If you think you'd like flying, but you're not sure, call and
schedule an Intro Flight (called a "coupon flight" in the aviator's world) today!
We offer a full-time instructor 8-10 hours a day, 7 days a week for your private, instrument,
commericial and instructor licenses. Prices vary widely from student to student, but our average
student pays about $3500-$4500 for a private (VFR) license. That's 40-60 hours of airplane rentals,
about 35 hours of instructor time (at $10.00 an hour) and miscellaneous charges for books and
pilot supplies. Come on down and we'll put together a curriculum to suit your exact needs!
We offer a number of tours for locals or visitors interested in seeing the area by air. Here's a
sample:
- Champagne brunch: One hour flight, champagne and brunch
(catered by Pinneli's) in the Club's conference room. See beautiful morning mists coming
off the mountains in mid-morning. (Groups of Four).
- Real Estate Tours: Working in conjunction with the Mountain
Realtor's Group, we take your family up and over town for about an hour, to help you get
your bearing and quickly give you an idea of the different parts of town to live in. If there's
room (up to 3 people) you can bring your Realtor along to show you where some promising
neighborhoods are.
